Who can submit to Ọgbọ́n Review?

Anyone! We welcome submissions from African writers, artists, and critics, as well as members of the African diaspora. Writers and artists from outside Africa may also submit if their work meaningfully engages African contexts.

What kind of works does Ọgbọ́n Review publish?

We publish poetry, fiction, essays, and art criticism/reviews. Our focus is on works that center African perspectives, address African issues, or emerge from African creative traditions.

Do contributors get paid?

Yes. We believe creators should be compensated. Payments are made in USD or the local currency equivalent, starting with selected works in each issue.
